                High & Mighty Brass Band

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The High & Mighty Brass Band is a Brooklyn NY based band that reeks of authentic New Orleans style.  We have one word to describe them, just one: FUN.  These guys (and an amazingly flirtatious girl) have fun every second that they are playing and we defy anyone not to have fun watching them (or to stand still).  Highly recommended to see live.

THE ORWELLS

The Orwells had fans literally climbing the walls (or the scaffolds) and rushing the gates as one of the smallest stages at Bonnaroo struggled to contain their energy and their rabid fans.  It's not too much of a stretch to say that front man Mario Cuomo was jimmorrisonesque as he fed off the craziness and transcended the Tennessee sun.  These guys just graduated last year (from high school in Elmhurst, Illinois) to critical acclaim at Lollapalooza, and graduate again this year as the young rockers had a legendary showing on David Letterman - see the Rolling Stone article at (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/the-orwells-react-to-instantly-infamous-letterman-performance-20140116).  Their set was truly "a thing".  When fans climbed up on top of the scaffolding and bounced around 20 feet off the ground on the fabric ceiling like it was a trampoline, you had the feeling something really bad was going to happen, but security got them down safely and only good things continued unfettered.  Look for them on at least the Which Stage next year.

Skinny Lister

Skinny Lister is a 6-piece folk group from the UK.  Their perfomance in a small tent in Bonnaroo was energetic and fun, and featured what appears to be a staple of their performances - crowd surfing while playing huge instruments.  The upright bass player and the drummer were passed around overhead by the enthusiastic crowd while not only hanging onto the bass and a huge drum, but actually continuing to play - it was pretty cool.
